VIII Fair Saturday Awards 2025

Ms. Rania Moualla Receives an International Award from the Fair Saturday Foundation in Bilbao 
Bilbao, Spain – September 29, 2025 

The Fair Saturday Foundation, in its 8th annual awards ceremony, honored a number of global leaders who have made a significant social impact through culture and creativity. The event took place at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain. 

Among this year’s honorees was Ms. Rania Moualla, Founder and Chairwoman of the ZADK Saudi Culinary Academy, recognized for her pioneering role in empowering Saudi youth, preserving national culinary heritage, and promoting sustainability through education and training in the culinary sector. 

Other awardees included: 

  • Joseph Stiglitz, Nobel Laureate in Economics 
  • Martin Wolf, Chief Economics Commentator at The Financial Times 
  • Adjoa Andoh, British actress known for her stage, television, and film work, and for her efforts in promoting cultural inclusion 
  • Joaquín Achúcarro, world-renowned Spanish pianist 
  • Ahmad Joudeh, the inspiring Syrian-Palestinian dancer who spreads a message of peace through art 
  • Gerediaga Association, honored for its role in preserving local cultural heritage and promoting community engagement 

This recognition highlights the vital role of culture and the arts in building more just and inclusive societies. It also celebrates the contributions of global pioneers, including Ms. Rania Moualla whose establishment of the first non-profit culinary academy in Saudi Arabia has created lasting positive change and new career opportunities for young men and women across the Kingdom.

Zadk Academy is grateful to the Education and Training Evaluation Commission (EtecKsa), represented by the National Center for Training Evaluation (Masar Center), for granting the Academy full institutional accreditation for a period of 3 years!

ZADK Academy achieves three awards at the Young Chef Olympiad held in India

ZADK Academy has achieved three awards at the World Chefs Olympics held in India 🇮🇳.

We extend our congratulations to the academy’s champions in the Olympics, Chef Ibrahim Hadi and student Abdulaziz Saleh, for winning the Promising Chef award, along with two other awards for Best Dishes

“ZADK” wins the award for Best Culinary Arts Training Institute in the Middle East!

The Saudi Culinary Academy, ZADK, has reached a remarkable milestone by winning the prestigious award for Best Culinary Training Facility in the Middle East at the recent World Culinary Awards ceremony in Dubai. This honor marks a significant achievement in ZADK’s mission to train local talent, preparing them for successful careers as chefs in the food and tourism industries.

Mrs. Rania Moualla, the Chairman of the Academy’s Board of Directors, expressed immense pride in the academy’s team for receiving this global recognition. She emphasized that the award is particularly meaningful due to the rigorous standards and criteria in the culinary arts.

ZADK Achieves International Accreditation and Recognized Among Top 5 Educational Institutions in the Kingdom

In a new achievement added to our series of successes, we are pleased to announce that our Culinary Arts Diploma Program has received international accreditation from the World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) through its accreditation system known as (TedQual). This accreditation reflects our commitment to providing high-quality education in the field of culinary arts and enhances our position as a leading destination for vocational education.

We are also pleased to announce that the academy has been selected as one of the top 5 educational institutions in the Kingdom in the final evaluation. This selection is the result of our continuous efforts in developing our educational programs and providing an outstanding learning environment.

Woman of the Year Award 

ZADK Academy extends its acknowledgment to Mrs. Rania Moualla, Chairman of its Board, for her recent award as the philanthropic leader of the Year. This honor was awarded at the KSA Women’s Achievements Awards 2024, hosted by Arabian Business Magazine in Riyadh. The event gathered leading female leaders and catalysts for change from across the Kingdom.
